Powerboat – Buddy

‘Buddy’ joined our fleet in 2018 and has already made many people’s holidays very enjoyable. She is a very seaworthy boat with all the technology and strong build quality of Ribcraft to give you a very comfortable and safe ride. She is capable of over 35 knots with her 150HP engine and also has the security of having a 5hp axillary engine if needed.

Why choose this boat?

‘Buddy’ is fitted with Garmin 7′ GPS/chartplotter together with a depth sounder to help you navigate around the local waters, an Icom VHF DSC radio and full up to date safety equipment. Her stern mounted boarding ladder means swimming or snorkelling from the boat is really easy so you can take advantage of every opportunity to do so.

A familiar site on the waters around Falmouth, ‘Buddy’, is perfect for exploring all the nearby rivers and could likely guide you herself to the ‘Pandora Inn’ at Restronguet for lunch if the tides are right. We are happy for more experienced charterers to take her across the Falmouth Bay to explore the Helford River or other harbours further along the Cornish coastline.

The less experienced RYA Powerboat level 2 skipper may also charter ‘Buddy’ but we kindly ask that you stay around the Carrick Roads or up the River Fal to build experience and confidence before you tackle Falmouth Bay or venture further afield.

We keep ‘Buddy’ on a marina berth in Falmouth Marina, with onsite secure parking and a very good onsite restaurant ‘Upper Deck‘ which is great if you are wanting the ease of parking close to the boat and grabbing a bite to eat. We can also arrange for ‘Buddy’ to be berthed in one of the local marinas at your own cost.
