RYA Coded Vessels
All Falmouth Boat Charter vessels are coded through the RYA. This means they are governed by MCA regulations and are fully compliant with MGN280.
Charter Requirements
To ensure your safety, and that of your fellow passengers, we do have requirements in place for skippers looking to charter our boats, as outlined below.
Bareboat Sailing Skipper Qualifications and Operational Limits

| RYA Day Skipper (Sail) + VHF Max West | (Manacles Buoy) to the East 20 Miles Daylight passages only |
| RYA Coastal Skipper Practical or Yachtmaster Coastal (Sail) + VHF | 20 Miles from Safe Haven, Day and Night. Includes the Isles of Scilly |
| RYA Yachtmaster Offshore or higher | -60 Miles from Safe Haven Day and Night |
Bareboat Powerboat Skipper Qualifications and Operational Limits

Motorboat Charter Requirements
- All motorboat charters are required to go out with a skipper.
